Obituary

Grant LeRoy Hulse, 75, of Ammon, died Monday, September 4, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Grant was born on December 8, 1941, in Logan, Utah, to George Vernon and Illa Annie Elwood Hulse. He grew up in the Blackfoot, Idaho area. He attended school in Snake River and Blackfoot. In 1960, he graduated from Blackfoot High School. He attended Idaho State University.

On May 24, 1960, he joined the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged on May 23, 1966.

He married Anne Petersen, together they had 3 children: Laura, Debbie, and Jeffery. They were later divorced. On March 21, 1970, he married Marsha Ann Peterson, in Rigby, Idaho.

Grant lived in many places while serving including:  Alaska, Texas, and Arizona. He lived in Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Ucon and Ammon. Grant enjoyed working as a meat cutter. For the last few years he worked at a maintenance man at Skyline High School.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Grant had many hobbies but enjoyed gardening and fishing. Marsha and Grant enjoyed travelling in their motor home, they went from Idaho to Nebraska. They enjoyed spending time on the Oregon coast.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Those who knew and loved him will miss him.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Hulse, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his daughters: Laura Harris, of Blackfoot, Idaho and Debbie (Mark) Hoskins, of Pocatello, Idaho; his sisters: Lu Dean Carey, of Lacey, Washington and Shirley (Keith) Wadsworth, of Nauvoo, Illinois; his brother, Ronald (Charie) Hulse, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Illa Hulse; his son, Jeffery Hulse; his brothers: Sheldon, George Wendell, Ralph, and Donald; and his sister, DeAnna Stroud.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 8, 2017, at Ammon Cemetery, where military rites will be performed by Bonneville Country Veterans Team and U.S. Air Force Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 a.m., prior to services at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
