Griffith Van Roberts Jr., 61, of Menan, Idaho, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 while working in Idaho Falls. He was born December 10, 1953, in Afton, Wyoming, to Griffith Van Noy Roberts and Eldora Joyce Lee Roberts. He grew up in Menan and spent most of his life there. He graduated Rigby High School. On July 17, 1972 he married Janet R. Rowett in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Here their first child was born. Griff and Janet later divorced. Griff loved to fish, spend time with his family and be in the outdoors. Our beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle will always be in our hearts and minds; until we meet again never to be forgotten. Griff is survived by the following: Daughter, Amy (Dell) Colvin of Grant, Idaho; Son, Chris Roberts of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Sisters: Terry White of Menan; Betty (Don) Berg of Port Orchard, Washington; Edna Marie Hubener of Nampa, Idaho, and Traci Reagle of Idaho Falls;Vickie (Jose) Leal of Lewisville, Idaho; Brothers: George (Char) Roberts of Garland, Utah; David (Diane) Roberts of Menan; and Larry (Cathy) Roberts of Eunice, New Mexico; Special friend, Angie Fowler of Lewisville, Idaho; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jessica Wilson; and sisters, Peggy Austin and Diane Collier. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the Menan LDS 2nd Ward Chapel, 3547 E. Menan Highway, in Menan with Bishop Matt Hancock officiating. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
