Hellen Waters Mitchell, 82, of Idaho Falls died June 5, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. She was born February 22, 1928, in Ammon, Idaho, to Reuben Armenius Waters and Emma Louize Pugmire Waters. She grew up, attended school in Ammon and graduated from Ammon High School. On August 25, 1947, she married Roland J. Mitchell in Blackfoot, Idaho. They lived 22 years in Shelley before moving to the Idaho Falls area. She worked at the Bon Marche and Blocks stores. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Hellen loved to camp, fish, crochet, quilt, and do crafts. She was a good cook and always worked very hard outside picking potatoes, cutting potatoes and canning the harvest of her garden. She also liked to keep family history records on her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The most important part of her life was her husband, children, and grandchildren and she never missed sending birthday and Christmas cards to them. Hellen was kind, loving, soft-spoken and always went the extra mile in showing her love for others. Everyone loved her and loved to be around her with her bubbly personality and to hear her infectious laugh. She is survived by her husband, Roland J. Mitchell; 2 sons: Ronald (Darlene) and Randy Mitchell both of Idaho Falls; a brother, Harvey Waters of Idaho Falls; and a sister, Lauradene (Chuck) Minnick of Draper, Utah; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters and 2 brothers. We love you Hellen and we will see you soon. Private family services will be held at a later date.
