IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Henry (Blair)
Hinckley
February 11, 1936 – July 25, 2020
Henry "Blair" Hinckley, 84, of Idaho Falls, returned to his heavenly family peacefully Saturday, July 25, 2020, at home with his loving wife, Judy Neal Hinckley, by his side. He was under the care of his family and Solace Hospice.
Blair was born on February 11, 1936, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Ira Thomas and Anna Afton Dalling Hinckley. He was the third of five children. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1955. He studied for 2 years at a business college.
On May 29, 1959, he married his sweetheart, Judy Neal, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where they were able to build their home on North Boulevard where they lived for 55 years. Blair was able to help with some of the building on their home to make it the home even more special. Together they raised their three children: Wendy, Michael, and Neal.
He worked for an Idaho Falls GM dealership as a parts manager for 35 years. He was a cashier for the Skyview Theater.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various positions including Home Teacher, Elder's Quorum Presidency, and Executive Secretary to the Bishop.
Blair was a huge Atlanta Braves fan, he even named his dog "Chipper" Jones. He loved baseball, collecting classic and current movies. Above everything, however, was his love for his family. He enjoyed family gatherings, small or large. He was a warm, loving, caring husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; his children: Wendy, Michael, and Neal; his 10 grandchildren (1 deceased), and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Afton Hinckley; his siblings: Annadawn Goldman and LeRoy Hinckley; his grandson, Michael Tyler Hinckley; brothers-in-law: Jerry Hymas and Cary S. Neal; and his parents-in-law, David and Mona Neal.
