IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hope Rexena
Spitz
January 5, 1939 – March 6, 2025
Our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Hope Spitz, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 6, 2025. She passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was under the care of Aspen Hospice.
She was born on January 5, 1939, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Rex Truman and Leona Mae Moore. She was an only child and was a great joy to her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Hope grew up surrounded by her loving family in Pocatello, Idaho, where she also met and married her first husband, George Beseris in 1956. Together they had three sons, Tim, Mark, and Brad. In 1968 they moved their family to Idaho Falls.
Hope started working as a secretary in the Computer Science Center for EG&G and later became an executive secretary to the general manager of EG&G Idaho. She retired as a sub-contract administrator for supply change management/procurement. While employed with EG&G Idaho Hope made some great life-long friends.
While residing in Idaho Falls, she met Don Spitz, whom she married in 1977. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rex and Leona Moore, husband, Don Spitz, and son Brad Beseris. She is survived by her sons, Tim (Terri) Beseris of Idaho Falls, and Mark (Janet) Beseris of Bear Lake, Idaho as well as 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Hope's heart overflowed with the love she shared with all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Hope loved her dear friends with whom she played cards and laughed. Everyone who met Hope felt her contagious energy and love of life. She shared her life with us through her beautiful smile, love of angels and ice cream, her touch and, yes, even her many notes!
Hope's family thanks all of you lovely ladies whom she considered her dear friends, and everyone at the Idaho Heart Institute, EIRMC, Aspen Home Health & Hospice, and The Gables of Ammon.
A private get-together to honor Hope's life will be held this summer. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com .
