Inez Mae Hackman Miller, 91, of Idaho Falls, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at her home. She was under the care of Hospice Alliance of Idaho Falls. She was born May 13, 1920, in Idaho Falls to Fritz Hackman and Emma Caroline Vesgerau Hackman. She grew up on the Hackman farm south of Idaho Falls. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1938. Inez attended Concordia Teachers College during the summer of 1973 where she studied piano and organ. On May 23, 1947, she married Vernon LeRoy Miller in Dillon, Montana. Vernon passed away December 31, 1969. The family lived in Thessalonika, Greece, and Munich, Germany, while Vernon worked with the Voice of America for the U.S. Government. Inez was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was the organist for over 40 years. She worked with the Braille Group and volunteered numerous hours at the Soup kitchen for over 20 years. Inez loved attending community concerts, cooking, sewing, gardening, entertaining family and friends, and attending church and spending time with her family. She was a strong lady whose love and dedication to her family, church, and friends was evident in all she did. She is survived by her daughter, Laura Mozzer of Idaho Falls; sons: Martell Miller of Idaho Falls, Gerald (Tracey) Miller of Spring, Texas, and Scott (Lori) Miller of Boise, Idaho; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, and husband, Vernon Miller, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Jones. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 17, 2012, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 290 7th St. with Pastor Jerry Reinke officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
