Jack Klein, 83, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, formerly of Bandon, Oregon, died Friday, February 25, 2011, at his home of natural causes. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. He was born August 11, 1927, in Batoe Djadjar, Indonesia to Jacobus and Johanna Schurink Klein. He grew up in Indonesia and the Netherlands. He married Ruth M. Toepler in Detroit, Michigan, on April 13, 1956. Mr. Klein was a mechanical engineer and worked in the automobile, nuclear power and aerospace industries. He enjoyed chess, reading, and planting trees. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family, including attending his children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren's activities.
