James "Jim" Michael Bianco, 50, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and formerly of Jacksonville, Florida died Tuesday, September 23, 2008, at his home.
He was born June 17, 1958 in Jacksonville, Florida, to Pasquale Anthony "Pat" Bianco and Dolores Goergen Bianco. He grew up in Jacksonville and graduated in 1977 from Bishop Kenny High School. He attended Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. While serving in the Navy, he attended the Nuclear Power School in Idaho Falls and then moved to Livermore, California, while he served aboard the U.S.S. Carl Vincent. He returned to Idaho Falls and worked at the INL and taught computer classes at the Eastern Idaho Technical College.
In 1983, he married Virginia Glass in New Jersey. They were later divorced. In 1997, he married Lisa Kay Westerberg in Idaho Falls. When his work ended at the INL, he attended classes at the University of Idaho in Moscow. Most recently, he was employed at Gas N' Grub in Idaho Falls.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He enjoyed camping, motorcycling, fishing, and computers. He was loved by his family and friends.
He is survived by the following: wife, Lisa Kay Bianco of Idaho Falls; sons: James Edward "Jay" Bianco and Christopher "Chris" Glass Bianco both of Houston, Texas; daughter, Melissa (Matthew) Godfrey of Omaha, Nebraska; daughter, Kayleen (Buddy) Shaw; son, Joshua Robert Bianco; and daughter, Toni Marie Bianco all of Idaho Falls; 2 grandchildren: Burton Jamison Shaw of Idaho Falls, and Gabriel Matthew Godfrey of Omaha, Nebraska; parents: Pat and Dolores Bianco of Jacksonville, Florida; sisters: Nancy Bianco of Jacksonville, Florida and Cathy Bianco of Orlando, Florida; a brother, Ted Bianco of Chesapeake, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Theodore and Caroline Goergen and Ida C. Franklin.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2008 at the Ammon 23rd Ward, 4030 John Adams Parkway with Bishop Todd Summers officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday evening from 6-7:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., and Monday one hour prior to the services.
