James Muir Jr., of Idaho Falls, returned to his heavenly home on August 13, 2012, after a battle with cancer. He was born July 16, 1936, in Idaho Falls, to James Muir Sr. and Elda May Salkield. He graduated from Idaho Falls High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from BYU. At age 19, he was baptized into The LDS Church and was a valiant member the rest of his life. As a young man, he served in the North Central States Mission. On December 22, 1960, Jim married his sweetheart, Judith Ann Johnson, in the Idaho Falls Temple for time and all eternity. He was a dedicated provider for his family and often worked multiple jobs. He loved everything outdoors, especially camping, hunting, and fishing. Jim was a tender hearted man that loved to tease and tell "dad" jokes. He loved John Wayne, horses and was a true cowboy at heart. James is survived by: Wife: Judy Muir of Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Brian (Michelle) Muir of Bountiful, UT; Daughter: Charlene (Chris) Curzon of Bennington, NE; Daughter: Lori (Joe) Miller of Savage, MN; Son: Brad Muir of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Debra Muir of Idaho Falls, ID; Daughter: Stephanie (Jeff) Jimenez of Chubbuck, ID; Son: Scott (Melissa) Muir of Tremonton, UT; Son: John (Maria) Muir of Orem, UT; Daughter: Jenny Muir of Idaho Falls, ID; Son: Josh Muir of Provo, UT; Daughter: Jill (Cory) Morley of Bountiful, UT; and Sister: Maxine (Barth) Combe of Idaho Falls, ID and 30 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, David Muir; parents, James and Elda Muir and sister, Eleanor Lecheminant. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2012, at the Idaho Falls LDS Woodruff 1st Ward, 1660 12th Street. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street and Monday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
