It is with a heavy heart to say that James 'Jim' DeNell Lewis Sr., 65, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jim was born to Ralph and Helen Lewis on October 31, 1957. He was the youngest of three children. Jim grew up in the Bay area and graduated from El Camino High School.

After high school, Jim joined the United States Navy and served during the end of the Vietnam War.

He loved to tell people stories about his overseas and his trucking adventures.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and best friend.

He is survived by his sister, brother (Mike), 2 children, 2 stepchildren, 12 grandchildren, and 2 ex-wives.

Jim is now adventuring freely on his favorite route, Route 2 in Nebraska, and sailing the seas again. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him.

Arrangements are pending under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
