James "Pete" Staggie Jr., 52, of Idaho Falls, passed away on May 19, 2008, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.

Our beloved son, brother, father and grandfather will be remembered and missed dearly. His unique personality brought sunshine to anyone who knew him. Pete was known for his sense of humor and individuality.

Pete loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was a true outdoors man, and shared his enthusiasm for nature with his family and friends.

He was born Oct. 8. 1955, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to James P. Staggie Sr. and Lillian Rose Fay Rigoulot Staggie. He grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School. He earned an associate degree from Eastern Idaho Vocational College.

In 1977, he married Denise Shaw in Idaho Falls. They later divorced. He married Jody Allen and they later divorced.

Pete worked construction and operated heavy machinery. He loved his work and took pride in a job well done.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his daughter, Jamie (Greg) Snider of Orem, UT; a grandson, Anderson James Snider of Orem, UT; his parents, James and Lillian Staggie of Idaho Falls; 3 sisters: Rose Johnson, Teresa Holverson, and Pennie Breedlove all of Idaho Falls; and 3 brothers: Frank and Chuck Staggie both of Idaho Falls; and Paul Staggie of Smithfield, UT.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Blake Staggie.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2008, at the LDS Ward Chapel, 651 Gladstone, Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls.

Our lives have been blessed by having Pete in them. Our only regret is not having more time with him. Memories will always bring smiles and laughter, and we are forever changed for the better
