Obituary

Janet Lenore Guymon Farnworth, 71, of Idaho Falls, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. She was born May 31, 1941, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the oldest daughter and second child born to William Mack Guymon and Doloris Harmon Guymon. She attended grade school in Rigby, Junior High School in Ammon and high school at Bonneville. After the passing of her father, her mother married, Gottlieb Miller, of Price and the family moved to Price where Janet graduated from Carbon High School in 1960. She continued her education at the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City. On September 23, 1961, Janet married Carl Farnworth in Lincoln, Idaho. They made their home in Salt Lake City where they raised their family. Janet and Carl were later divorced. Janet moved back to Idaho Falls where she was residing at the time of her death. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints where she served as a Primary teacher and a visiting teacher. Janet enjoyed bowling, crocheting, making jewelry, collecting porcelain dolls, writing poems, sewing, going to movies with her daughters and grandchildren, doing ceramics and learning about nutrition and health. She enjoyed her community friends at Club Inc., TOPS, and the residents of Elk Creek apartments. Her greatest joy was her daughters and grandchildren. She was very thoughtful and she loved to give to others. Janet is survived by the following: Daughters: Coene (Odis) Aaron and Kristy (Larry) Amiker both of West Valley, Utah, Michele (Steve) Barlow of American Fork, Utah; and Carla (Hidalio "Tito") Fordman of Pompano Beach, Florida; Brothers: Wesley Guymon of Ririe and William "Mack" (Rhonda) Guymon of Richmond, Utah; Sisters: Grace (Craig) Winn of Salt Lake City, Utah, Trudy (James) Hess of Richmond, Utah, and Linda (James) Lovell of Ririe; Step-brothers: Lexy Hall of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dee (Sharon) Miller of Pleasant Grove, Utah, and Hans Miller of Price, Utah; Step-sisters: Starla (Bob) Schoelkotf of Graeagle, California, Taunda Riecke of Idaho Falls and Connie (Jerry) Hansen of Aurora, Utah; 16 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Janet was preceded in death by a brother, DelRoy Guymon, her step-fathers: Gottlieb Miller and Darius Lee Hall; and step-brothers, Dennis Hall and Louis Miller. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the Brookview LDS Ward Chapel, 1925 E. 49th S. Idaho Falls, with Bishop James Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Friday March 15, 2013 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street Idaho Falls, and Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.
