She was born March 24, 1939, in Idaho Falls to Henry & Nora Phillips Hill. She grew up and attended schools in Ucon. She graduated from Ucon High School in 1957. She attended Clark's Professional College.
During her life Janet married twice and was blessed with three children. She was employed with various companies over the years until she began work with EG&G in 1975 where she later retired. Her talents were many including sewing, quilting, doll making, and ceramics. She was also a member of the French Flower beading Guild. She had the voice of an angel when she sang and will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Virginia Dee "Jenny" Shults (Steve) of Idaho Falls, and Patricia Marie Thompson (Gary) also of Idaho Falls; two sisters, Luana McFadden (Ron) of Washington, and Carol Meppen (Ken) of South Carolina; two brothers, Clyde Hill (Doris) of Idaho Falls, and Weston Hill (Wilma) of Utah; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Paul Eugene Wray, her father Henry Hill, and her mother Nora Hill.
Memorial Services will be held on at 12 Noon Friday May 9, 2008 at the Ucon LDS Church 10854 N. 41st E. in Ucon. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. May 8, 2008 and one hour prior to the services at the church in Ucon. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Eastern Idaho, 1810 Moran, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
