Jasmine JoAnn Laing, 5, of Idaho Falls, passed away in her mother's arms Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of cancer followed by a stroke. She had been under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice. She was born Nov. 4, 2006, in Bangkok, Thailand, and was adopted by Johnny Logan Laing and Kindra Jo Paulsen Laing. She grew up in Idaho Falls and attended preschool at Fox Hollow Elementary School. She was an Honorary Submariner. She loved her family, attending preschool, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, and all of the Disney Princesses. Jasmine was such a joy to all who met her; she was full of light, and everyone could see that in her. Jasmine was love. She is survived by her parents, John and Kindra Laing of Idaho Falls; and her grandparents, Richard and JoAnn Laing of Idaho Falls, and Brian and Lori Paulsen of Pocatello. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Idaho Falls LDS 7th Ward Chapel, 955 Memorial Drive, with Bishop Joshua Hawkes officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls, with honorary rites by Submariner-Caps for Kids. The family will also visit with friends Saturday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
