Obituary

Jason Tyler, 48, of Idaho Falls, died Saturday, December 23, 2017, at his home from natural causes.

Jason was born on February 7, 1969, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Frank Delmar and Margaret Kay Tyler. He grew up in the Idaho Falls and Mackay area. He graduated from Mackay High School in 1987. He attended ITT and Eastern Idaho Technical College where he earned his Associates Degree.

On September 23, 1994, he married Lori McGary in Idaho Falls, Idaho. To this union a daughter was born. They were later divorced.

Jason enjoyed working as an instrument technician for Idaho National Laboratory for the past 25 years.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jason enjoyed walking along the greenbelt with his daughter, Katherine Deanna Tyler and playing Magic the Gathering cards with friends and family. He had a gentle and compassionate heart.

He is survived by his daughter, Katherine Tyler of Chester, Idaho; his mother, Margaret (Byron) Herman of Idaho Falls, Idaho; his sisters: Amy (Kirbi) Nelson and Kate (Ross) McNair both of Rexburg, Idaho; his brothers: Jeremy (Cory) Tyler of Pocatello, Idaho and Justin (Karen) Tyler of Boise, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank DelMar Tyler.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
