Jaylene Marie Elder Fullmer, 68, of Idaho Falls, died October 20, 2010, peacefully at her home in Idaho Falls. Jaylene was born May 4, 1942 in Hermosa Beach, California, to Ivon Arthur Elder and Rowene Hill Elder. She was the oldest of 6 children. She was raised in the Idaho Falls area, graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1960, and received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Ricks College. Following graduation, she moved to Salt Lake where she worked as a nurse for several years before returning to Idaho Falls. In Idaho Falls, Jaylene worked at the LDS Hospital in the Emergency Department and for several area doctors. She maintained her nursing license even after retiring. Jaylene enjoyed writing stories for her grandchildren and being involved in Family History. She also enjoyed writing and sending out cards, collecting pictures of family, and collecting memorabilia of Betty Boop, Elvis, and Coke. Jaylene has been an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her warmth and caring were a light that we will greatly miss. Jaylene was the loving mother of 4 children: William Ray (Karli) Fullmer; Shane Norris (Lena Marie) Fullmer of Sterling Heights, Michigan; Jana Marie Fullmer of South Korea; and Gary Curtis (Anna) Fullmer of Moscow, Idaho. She will be missed by 7 grandchildren: Brynn (Fullmer) Eiffler, Austin Fullmer, Ty Fullmer , Cheyenne Fullmer, Madison Fullmer, Trenton Fullmer, and Connor Fullmer; her mother, Rowene Hill Elder of Idaho Falls, brothers: Duane (Sharon) Elder of Idaho Falls, and Mitchell (Davena) Elder of Eugene, Oregon; sisters: Linda (Wayne) Harris of Rigby, Kaye Proctor of Medford, Oregon, and Kim (Kelly) McDaniel of Moscow, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her father, Ivon Arthur Elder, and a brother-in-law, Del Proctor. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Idaho Falls LDS 14th Ward Chapel, 651 Gladstone, Idaho Falls, with Bishop Dean Ward officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Fielding Memorial Park in Idaho Falls.
