Obituary

Heavenly Father saw she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around her, and whispered softly, "Come to me." On April 14, 2015, Jean Mower Hulet, 88, left her loving companion, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She made her final journey back to her Heavenly home, thus ending her long life on earth. On May 23, 1926, she was fortunate to be invited into the arms and happy home of her loving parents, John Franklin and Edith Madsen Mower, to join four older sisters, and later two younger brothers. She met her loving companion, John Charles Hulet, during the second World War, and married him on March 14, 1945 in Los Angeles in the law office of Howard W. Hunter, a family member. On their first wedding anniversary, they were sealed for time and eternity in the Manti Temple. They had the happiest of marriages and life together. Jean enjoyed being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. She and her husband served a mission together in the North Carolina Charlotte Mission. Jean and John also served as ordinance workers in the Salt Lake Temple. Jean is survived by her husband of 70 years, John, and their four children: Karan Lee (Steven) Clawson, Marilyn Judy (Bill, deceased) Ostenson, Gail (Robert) Johnson, and Philip John (Cynthia Ann) Hulet; 23 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Richard Mower. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bill Ostenson; a grandson, Christopher Ostenson; a great-grandson, Hayden Hawkins; her parents, four sisters and a brother. She has gone to join her parents and all her loved ones, and to live with her Heavenly Father and Jesus. Jean is in a happy place, so think only good thoughts and memories. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Hands of Hope Hospice for their loving care. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015, at the Ammon North Stake Center, 4363 E. 17th St. with Bishop Boyd Southwick of the Ammon 9th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Primary Children's Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 58249, Salt Lake City, Utah 84158; 801-662-5959.
