He was born July 10, 1935, in Buhl, Idaho, to Richard R. Love and Theo Briggs Love. He grew up and attended schools in Buhl. In 1953, he graduated from Buhl High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from the University of Idaho. He served in the U.S. Army in New Orleans.

On May 18, 1958, he married Shirley Andrews in Buhl. He lived in Idaho, Colorado, and Utah as a marketing representative for American Oil. He worked for Boise Cascade as an outside salesman from where he retired.

He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Jerry was a true gentleman in every sense; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him and will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by the following: wife, Shirley Love of Idaho Falls; daughters: Beth (Lee) Sturm of Idaho Falls and Cynthia (Myron) Barron of Inkom; son, Jerry (Dominique) Love Jr. of Eagle; sisters: Judy Love of Boise and Joan (Bob) Linck of California; 4 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2008, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls with Mike Gneiting officiating.

The family suggests that Memorial contributions may be made to the local food banks.
