Jimmy E. Dortch
Jimmy Edward Dortch, 71, of Idaho Falls, died June 9, 2005, at his home.
He was born Feb. 6, 1934, in Adona, Arkansas to Clarence Eldridge Dortch and Catharine Bagett Dortch. He was raised in El Segunoo, California. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1954 -57.
He married Judy Frost. They were later divorced. In June 1959, he married Juanita Hozheimer in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He was a chef by trade. Besides Idaho, he lived in Alaska and California.
He was a member of the Assemblies of God and Shilo Foursquare Church. He enjoyed horseback riding, bowling, and swimming. He was a positive upbeat man who was loved by everyone.
He is survived by the following: son, Jim (Ora) Dortch of Lewisville daughter, Cathy E. (Smokey) Ellison of Forks, Washington, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, a brother, Robert (Marion) of Klamath Falls, OR. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2005, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St in Idaho Falls with Pastor Tony Maupin officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park with military rites by the Bonneville County Veteran's Team.
