Jo Ann Holmes Walker, 60, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital of pulmonary fibrosis, with her loving family by her side. She will be missed more than words can ever express.

Jo Ann was born on January 31, 1965, in Cook County, Illinois. She spent her young years in Bell Gardens, California, and at age 6, her family relocated to Idaho Falls where she grew up and later attended Skyline High School.

She married Jim Walker in 1988, and gained a stepdaughter, Shari. In July 1989 they welcomed their first son, John Dale "JD", welcoming their second son, Randy, in April 1994.  Although Jo Ann and Jim later divorced, they remained close friends.

Spending time with her grandchildren was her favorite activity above everything else, but she also was an avid reader, and enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating.  She loved doing crafts and puzzles, and she found peace in being outside or working in her yard.  Jo Ann loved animals, and it was not unusual to find her nursing and caring for a wounded animal that had found its way to her. Her dogs were an integral part of her life and were her "babies".

Jo Ann is survived by her children: John "JD" (Shelby) Walker and Randy (Baylee) Walker; as well as her grandsons: Nolan, Emmett, Jackson, Conner, Cohyn, Cortlynd, and Max. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Laura and Vearl Dustin; brother, Gene (Jolyn) Holmes; and sister, Jennifer (Steve) Jones.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider registering as an organ donor in Jo Ann's honor.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Victory Assembly of God Church, 5600 S. Holmes, Idaho Falls.
