She was born February 28, 1927, to Roger Bailey Phillips and Blanche Mae Barwick Phillips in Ottumwa, Iowa. She grew up and attended schools in Ottumwa, and graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1945.

On March 31, 1946, she married Glenn "Bud" I. Fredrickson in Ottumwa, Iowa.

She lived in Iowa, Chicago for one year and the last 50 years in Idaho Falls.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She was a member of the Pinochle Club. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and traveling in her motor home.

JoAnna was a lovely woman with all the aptitudes to take care of family and home.

She is survived by the following: spouse, Glenn "Bud" Fredrickson of Idaho Falls; daughters: Connie "C J" (David) Jenkins of Idaho Falls and Cynthia Bennett of Rigby; grandchildren: Heather Dineen of Idaho Falls, Donna Bergman of Eugene, Oregon and Jeff (Sheila) Bennett of Forest Grove, Oregon; a sister, Patricia Voyles of Algona, Iowa; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Shirley MacDonald

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to1:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation, Attn: FHP, 1236 Ginger Crescent, Virginia Beach, VA, 23453-9810.
