JoeAnn Hincks Gudmundson, 69, of Ammon passed away Jan. 2, 2016 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born March 24, 1946 in Afton, Wy to Lynn and Norma Lindberg Hincks. She grew up in Grover, Wy and graduated from Star Valley High School.

She married Jesse Gudmundson March 28, 1964 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. As Jesse was already serving in the Navy his assignments took them to Adak, Alaska, San Padro, Calif. and Norfolk Virginia. She enjoyed the adventure of travel and meeting new friends. Her husband had a heart attack while serving on a Navy ship and passed away in 1977. She moved to Idaho Falls with her young son, William Cody, who was only 10 months old. She has resided here ever since.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in various callings.

She enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, crocheting baby afghans and making beautifully pieced quilts. She enjoyed traveling especially to Yellowstone and the Black Hills in South Dakota.

Survivors include her son, William Cody, of Idaho Falls and a brother, Len (Jennifer) Hincks of Phrump, Nevada. Services will be at 11 am Saturday, Jan 9, at the Stonehaven LDS Ward, 2055 Coronado St with Bp. Nate Hunsaker officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6 pm to 7 pm Friday at Coltrin Mortuary and one hour prior to services. Burial will be at 3:30 pm in the Afton Cemetery.
