John Douglas Kerr died December 27, 2020, at the age of 69 at his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, of prolonged health-issues.

John was born October 5, 1951, to William Bailey Kerr and Nada Fryer Kerr in Richland, Washington.  He was the third of five children in the family.  He graduated from Idaho Falls Senior High School and lived most of his life in Idaho Falls, where he established many friendships.

He was preceded in death by both parents.  He is survived by three brothers and one sister: Richard (Joan) Kerr of Chugiak, AK; Tony Kerr of Nimpo Lake, BC, Canada; Cynthia (Garlen) Johnson of Orem, UT; and David (Brenda) Kerr of Idaho Falls, ID; Messina (Taylor) Stewart of Springville, UT, was his favorite niece and a close friend who watched over him.

Arrangements under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls.  Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no memorial service.  At his request, John was cremated and his ashes will be scattered in the spring by family and friends in his favorite places to visit.
