John Marion Outcelt, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at his home after a courageous fight against Cancer. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice and his loving family.

John was born on September 23, 1936, in Weiser, Idaho to John William and Opal Faye Harmon Outcelt. He grew up in Weiser. He attended Idaho Falls High School.

On December 14, 1963, he married his sweetheart, Florence Virginia Armijo. Together they raised nine children: Terri, Debbie, Michelle, Roxanne, Steven, Lance, Jason, Christina, and Preston. Florence passed away on May 7, 2013.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed writing poetry and listening to music. John's favorite pastime was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children: Terri (Rod) Storer of Idaho Falls, ID, Debbie Hamilton of Idaho Falls, ID, Michelle (Scott) Ahles of Minnesota, Roxanne Gauna of Idaho Falls, ID, Steven Outcelt of Idaho Falls, ID, Lance Outcelt of Boise, ID, Jason Outcelt of Idaho Falls, ID, and Christina (Ty) Hall of Idaho Falls, ID; and his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Outcelt; his son, Preston Outcelt; his mother, Opal Outcelt; his father, John Outcelt; his son-in-law, Steve Ahles; and his brother, Edward Outcelt.
