Jolene RoAnn Lang, 57, of Shelley, died Friday, August 8, 2014, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from a scuba diving accident. She was born January 12, 1957, in El Paso, Texas, to Shirley Swasey Grange and Joseph Glen Grange. She grew up all over the world, as her dad was in the United States Air Force. She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1975. She was attending Idaho State University and was one semester away from receiving her Bachelors Degree. She married Dwight Alan Johnson. They later divorced. On November 30, 1985, she married Harold James Lang, in Shelley. She has lived in Taiwan, Utah, Idaho, Florida, Germany, California, Alabama and Texas. She visited 46 out of the 50 states by the age of 18, and has been in 20 countries. She was a bookkeeper and owned her own business. She was also a stay at home mom. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a Boy Scout leader and was active in the Relief Society. She was an art teacher for her children's school classes, a Girl Scout leader, soccer coach and humanitarian. She enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, emergency preparedness, crafting, sugar cookie decorating, crocheting, family activities, remodeling her house, and collecting many things. She was almost everyone's advice giver. Jolene was the most amazing wife, mother, daughter and sister, who filled her life, and the lives of those around her, with laughter, adventure, and fun. She didn't have a lot of years in her life, but she had a lot of life in those years. She is survived by the following: Husband, Harold Lang of Shelley Daughter, Christina Johnson of Boise Son, Brandon (Ellie) Johnson of Salt Lake City Son, Robert (Julie) Lang of Idaho Falls Son, Briant (Jessica) Lang of Idaho Falls Daughter, Brianna Lang of Shelley Father, Joseph Grange of Shelley Sister, Marcene Carlton of Gillette, Wyoming Sister, Veldene Woodcook of Winnemucca, Nevada Sister, Kathrene Kin of Huntington Beach, California Sister, Vaunene Thugerson of Bakersfield, California Granddaughters: Alexis and Kaci Lang of Idaho Falls One grandchild on the way! She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Swasey Grange. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Shelley Jameston LDS Chapel, 1101 East 1250 North, Shelley, with Bishop Casey Huntsman officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2014, at the Jameston LDS Chapel, and one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Taylor Cemetery.
