IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jolene
Wilson
September 8, 1951 – September 25, 2023
Jolene Wilson, 72, of Richland, WA, and Idaho Falls, ID, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on September 25, 2023, just two weeks after her birthday. She passed away at Kadlec Reginal Medical Center in Richland, WA, due to heart complications.
Jolene was born on September 8, 1951, in Rigby, ID, to Percy and Donna Hill (both deceased). She was one of six children. Her siblings are Bill Hill (deceased), DonaRae Jacobs, Jay Hill, Darla Reber, and Doug Hill.
She met her husband, Doug Wilson, at work and married him on August 23, 1982. They were together for forty-five years. She had three children: Joy Wilson, James Wilson, and Russ Wilson (deceased). She has six grandchildren: James Wilson, Isabelle Wilson, Deakin Wilson, Dillon Wilson, Emma Weatherston, Reece Geimer, and Madilyn Wilson, and two great-grandchildren: Luna Wilson and Jay Wilson.
She worked as a retail grocery clerk for most of her adult life and owned an ice business with her husband. She spent most of her life in Idaho Falls, ID, and moved recently to Washington to be closer to family. She was a fun-loving, sweet, kind person who impacted many people's lives. She rarely met a person she didn't like and would give you the clothes off her back if you needed them. Family was the most important thing to her, and she held hers close. She always had a smile on her face when she was around her grandchildren, even if she wasn't feeling well or their behavior wasn't smile-worthy!
Jolene loved to crochet and do crafts. There wasn't a crafty thing that she couldn't figure out and master. She loved getting together with her girlfriends and playing dominoes. And nobody could beat that woman at cribbage. She loved to create photo memories for her family and friends and created beautiful Photoshop collages. Her favorite subject was her grandchildren. She tried to capture every major event and special occasion. But the thing that gave her the most pleasure was spending time with her family and grandkids.
