Jon Charles (Dutch) Werner Sr., 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, at his home. He was under the care of One Source Hospice.

Jon was born on November 15, 1944, in Salina, Kansas. He grew up in Salina. He joined the US Army.

He married Katherine Bernies Longcor in Reno, Nevada and they were later divorced.

Jon enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He was known for his stubbornness and headstrong attributes. He was loved very much by his family and was a strong man.

He is survived by his sons: Jonny Werner of Idaho Falls, Michael (Liz) Werner of Pocatello, Idaho, Bill Werner of Sacramento, California, Shane (Emily) Werner of Lodi, California and Jon Charles (Michelle) Werner Jr. of Salina, Kansas; daughter, Leslie Werner Johnson of Salina, Kansas; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation was under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
