September 6, 1915 – January 4, 2007
He was born September 6, 1915, in Baker, Oregon, to Asa Bagley and Jane Meservy. He was raised and attended schools in Dubois and St. Anthony. During World War II, he was stationed in Europe with the U.S. Army.
On March 26, 1943, he married Vola Ethel Dalling in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They enjoyed 60 wonderful years of marriage before she passed away Dec. 27, 2003. In 1951, they moved to Idaho Falls where Don worked for Cream Top Dairy, Challenge Creamery, L.D.S. Hospital, and ZCMI. He retired in 1995 at the age of 80.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints where he served in many positions through the years. He served a mission in the French speaking sections of Belgium and Switzerland. He was an active member of the church choir.
He enjoyed playing the guitar, banjo, and harmonica for friends and family. Don was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by them all.
He is survived by a son, Richard (Nikki) Bagley of Woodland, Washington; 3 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vola; brothers, Earl and Asa; and a sister, Erva Orme.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2007, at the Idaho Falls LDS 10th Ward, 1200 Dunbar. The family will visit with friends Sunday evening, January 7, 2006, from 6-7:30 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls and Monday one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Ucon Cemetery with military rites by the Bonneville County Veterans Memorial Team.
