Obituary

Joseph Wilbur Horner, 78, of Idaho Falls, died Aug. 8, 2005, at his home of natural causes.

He was born Aug. 24, l926, in Macon, Georgia, to Wallace Fredrick Horner and Louise Bartlett Horner. His family moved to New York where he grew up. Later in life, he moved to Idaho.

He married Mary Elva Wilson on June 1, l962. After driving truck for several years, he worked for 35 years for the city of Idaho Falls Street Department, and was then transferred to the treatment plant.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved to go fishing. He was a hard working man and in forty years, he never took a day off for illness.

Survivors include: step-son, Larry Lambert, Idaho Falls step-son, Ronald Lambert, Shelley, Idaho step-son, Donald Lambert, Shelley, Idaho brother, Richard Horner, New York sister, Elvy Williams, New York sister, Celestine, New York sister, Louise, Arizona 5 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, a grandson, Jeremy, and step-son, Wayne.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2005, at the Milo Cemetery by Bishop Dan Stout, under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary. The family will visit with friends Thursday morning from 10-11:00 a.m. before the services.
