Obituary

Born March 11, 1980. Beloved son of David Brett Clifford and Terry Lynn Clifford. Brother of Nicole Marie Clifford. Grandson of Nolan Dean Clifford (deceased) and Carol Bernice Clifford of Boise, Idaho. Grandson to Lorayne Helen Knox (Norman) of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Clifford A. Brady Jr. (Ruth) of Idaho Falls.

The wonderful memories of Josh will stay in our hearts forever. It didn't take much to make Josh happy, he was high on life. Josh loved many things growing up, as a child Josh could be found hanging out in his superman pajamas, if he wasn't wearing those, you would find him in camouflage attire. When he opened a Christmas package from his Mom and Dad and pulled out a camouflage hat, Josh excitedly said "This is what I've been been lookin' for." His family at later years would teas him saying, "that's what you've been lookin' for right?" He was always excited about everything he received, even if it was clothes. He would always say, "Man, this is going to look good on me." He always had the cutest comments.

A fond memory his Mom and him had was during a visit to the doctor when she found out she was pregnant with his baby sister. Josh was called in from the waiting room to hear the good news. His Mom said, "Josh, you're going to be a big brother, I'm going to have a baby." Confused, Josh looked at his Mom's stomach and asked, "Where is it?" When he realized he would have to wait nine months, he quickly moved on to ask, "Okay can we go get a hamburger?" Hamburgers were always Josh's comfort food, that and taking a hot bath.

Taught by his Dad, Josh was an excellent craftsman, and the two often worked side by side. When Josh was six years old, his dad and himself went hunting together for the first time. At such a young age his Dad tried to teach Josh about the deer, and asked him to be quiet as they watched several doe in the distance. Josh tugged on his Dad's shirt, whispering, "Dad, dad" but his Dad gave him a quite "shhhh, look son don't scare them away." and again Josh tugged and whispered, "Dad, dad," and his dad said, "Look, just watch, isn't that beautiful, this is what it's all about." The deer then walked away and his Dad said, "Wasn't that cool?" Josh excitedly asked while pointing his fingers up by his ears, "But Dad, aren't we hunting for the ones with the horns......they were over there." His Dad laughed because he felt he should be teaching his son how to hunt, in reality Josh was teaching him.

Josh had a special bond with his sister Nicole. Growing up he was always looking out for her. He was her protector and comfort. When they were both little he would call her "Cole" and "Punkin'" He would always wrestle with her and tell her, "Come on Nicole we need to toughen you up." Josh said that Nicole was a tough girl and he would hate to see the guy that would try to mess with her. Josh looked up to his sister and was so proud of all her many accomplishments in life. He would call her up all the time when she was away at school and they would talk to each other about anything and everything. They looked to each other for advice. There is nothing better than the love and connection a brother and sister share together. He was a loving brother and friend to his sister Nicole.

Josh had many friends growing up. His best friend was Cameron Dennett. There lives began with each other. They lived as neighbors and grew up together as childhood friends. They were not only the best of friends but became brothers. Cameron felt they intermingled with each other so much that there blood was intermixed. You could always find them dressed up in their camouflage playing commando. They would have stayed out all night if their parents would have let them. They could drop everything load up a car; go up to Bone and campout even if it was Eleven O'clock at night. Josh and Cameron had this relationship throughout their entire lives. They would call each other two or three times a day. They were always there for each other through good times and bad. The bond between them will never be broken it will only grow stronger.

Josh was loved by everyone around him, and all who knew him. He had a pure heart, and many friends. He was involved in many sports, two of his favorites being football and baseball. He played football for Bonneville High School, and was highlighted in a newspaper article as a "One-man wrecking crew." He was as hard as a rock. If Josh wasn't at home, you knew you could find him on a snowmobile, out camping, hunting, biking, or swimming. Josh loved the outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.

Josh worked for his two uncles, Brad and Steve Brady as the installation manager, at Brady's Inc. If Josh had a job to do, he made sure it was done right. There was nothing Josh couldn't handle. It was always, Measure twice cut once, no room for mistakes. If something was done wrong, Josh was there to fix it, he was a perfectionist.

Josh passed away January 20, 2006 from a pick-up truck accident. He is dearly loved and will be missed by all. We'll remember him as a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and most of all a dependable and loving friend. Many looked up to Josh, and will learn from how he lived his life with love, spirit, compassion, motivation, and determination. We all take a piece of Josh with us, and he will always be in our hearts.
