Surrounded by her loving family, our beloved mother and grandmother, Kathryn Joyce Aileen Kunde, 82, of Idaho Falls, returned to her Heavenly Father on July 10, 2012. Joyce was born in Archdale, North Carolina, on August 11, 1929, the oldest of three daughters born to Joseph Todd Meyers and Gladys Aileen Lyman Meyers. On November 30, 1947, Joyce married Louis C. Kunde, in Sonoma, California. She lived in Cloverdale, California, until 1989 when she moved to Idaho. Joyce spent her life in the service of others especially her family. She was willing to help any and all who came into her life. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Joyce was faithful to her convictions and served in many callings throughout her life. She was loving and fiercely loyal to her family. She was courageous and strong, always facing adversity with faith and determination. Joyce loved her Savior and had a strong testimony which she loved to share. She was an amazing example to all of us and will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. Joyce is survived by her 6 children who were the light of her life; Louis C. (Corey) Kunde, Kathryn (Tony) Toscano, Lynden (Janice) Kunde, Greg (Leslie) Kunde, Chris (Kim) Kunde, Carrie ( Scott) Lords; 21 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and her beloved "Forever Sister", Mavis Lile, and brother-in-law, Ray Lile; cherished cousin, Barry Humphreys and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, Sharron Meyers, and a granddaughter, Kaylene Kunde. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012, at the Iona LDS Church, 5169 Denning with Bishop Doug Weber officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2012, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls and Saturday one hour prior to the services at the church.
