Joyce Millard Thornley, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, January 14, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. She was born September 9, 1941, in Burley, Idaho, to David Millard and Anna Hansen Millard. She grew up in the Burley area known as View, Idaho. She married Norman Dayley and they were later divorced. On July 23, 1973, she married Kenneth L Thornley in Pocatello, Idaho. He passed away June 5, 1984. Joyce enjoyed oil painting, leather work, and crocheting. She was a loving, caring, mother of five, and a wonderful grandma and great-grandma. Joyce is survived by the following: Sons: Don and Ivan Dayley both of Idaho Falls and Bryan Dayley of Rupert; Daughters: Teresa Holverson and Susan Thornley both of Idaho Falls; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Millard and a sister, Drizella Millard. Private family services will be held at a later date.
