June Louise Bates, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. She was born June 14, 1927, in Jerome, Idaho, the youngest of 14 children born to George B. and Zora Belle Williams Robinett. June grew up in Dubois. June spent her earlier years in Idaho Falls living with and caring for 2 wonderful ladies, Dorthey and Fern. She had a great passion when others needed a helping hand. June was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend to everyone. She enjoyed camping, fishing, taking drives up to the foothills, talking and spending time with family; she especially looked forward to having her great-granddaughter, Lexi, stay the night with her and keep her company throughout the week. She is survived by a daughter, Luann Langley, sons: Dean Bates and Elden Heightz, and 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents, 13 siblings, husband, Billy Bates and a great-granddaughter, Leah Gomez. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls.
