Karen Marie Wendt, 68, passed away in her home in Idaho Falls, ID on October 28, 2023.

Karen was born in Hutchinson, Minnesota on June 6, 1955, to Roy and Margaret Wendt. She attended Hutchinson Public Schools, graduating in 1973. Karen later completed the non-destructive metals testing program at Ridgewater College in Hutchinson and soon after relocated to Idaho to begin her career.

She worked over 35 years in the metals testing industry, including time with Bucyrus-Erie, several years as an instructor at the College of Eastern Idaho, and as a consultant for Battelle Energy Alliance, working at a nearby nuclear power research facility. Along the way, Karen earned her bachelor's degree.

In 1991, Karen married Bill Bryant. Together, they enjoyed the outdoors, their cats, attending live concerts, and visiting local gaming casinos.

Karen is survived by her brother, Richard (Janet) Wendt; sister-in-law, Barbara (Paul) Strahl; brother-in-law, Les (Kris) Bryant; brother Matt (Lisa) Wendt; sisters: Stacy (Darin) Thompson, Kimberly Johnson, and Jodi (Terry) Wendt-Silver.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William; parents, Roy and Margaret; adopted mother, Carol; sister-in-law, Janet Burtt; and sister-in-law, Jeannie Bryant.
