Karl (Johnny) Harold Fielding, 77, of Rigby, died Friday, March 16, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Karl was born on June 8, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Harold and Theo Oliver Fielding. Karl had a fraternal twin, Karleen (Sally). He grew up in the Shelley area and graduated from Shelley High School in 1958.
In 1958 he married Marilyn Draper. They divorced later. In 1978 he married Linda Rennie, later they divorced.
Karl farmed with his dad in the Shelley area. He moved to the Phoenix metro area in 1982 and worked for his brother-in-law at Tyers N Treads, for a brief time. Shortly after he started working at Quartz Engineering as a glass blower. After retiring he drove shuttle for Earnhardt Dodge to keep busy. At Christmas time he enjoyed working as Santa. In 2016, he moved home to Rigby, Idaho.
He enjoyed snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, gardening, yard work, puzzles, circle books, antiquing, and playing cards.
Karl was very well liked and was always willing to help anybody with any task. He was fun, loved to have a good time and lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his children: Bret Karl Fielding of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Kim Jeffrey Fielding of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Karlyn Kayl (Heather) Fielding of Queen Creek, Arizona, Kristina Marie (Kirby) Barnes of Poulsbo, Washington, Deralie (Kevin) Mooney of Mesa, Arizona; his sisters: Karleen (Val) Crow of Ammon, Idaho and Coy (Lou) Gunerude of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Theo and Harold Fielding.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 23, 2018, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the mortuary. Inurnment will be at Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com .
