Kathleen "Kay" Doris Hobson Riplinger, 89, of Leesburg, Indiana, died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at her residence. She was born on September 25, 1918 in Gifford, Idaho to John W. & Lilly Mae (Wilcox) Hobson.

She graduated in 1936 from Gifford High School in Gifford, Idaho. She attended Lewiston Normal College in Lewiston, ID. On September 22, 1942 she married John G. (Jack) Riplinger who preceded her in death in July 1953.

She was a homemaker, former co-owner/operator of Riplinger Funeral Home in Spokane, WA & former custodian/librarian for North Idaho College, Coeur d'Alene, ID. She moved to Leesburg area 20 years ago from Idaho. She was a member of the North Webster Church of God where she was active in the small groups' ministry.

She is survived by her daughter Jill (Terry) Best of Leesburg, IN, and one son, Robert Allyn (wife, Marlene) Riplinger of Ammon, ID; 5 Grandchildren & 9 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, husband, one son - William Riplinger, 7 Sisters and 4 Brothers.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, IN with Bob Curry officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at a later date in the St. Thomas Cemetery in Coeur d'Alene, ID.
