Kathy was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend to many. At a young age Kathy moved to Lincoln, Nebraska with her parents. Kathy went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in social work from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln. While at Wesleyan, Kathy joined the Delta Zeta sorority and made many lifelong friends. Kathy married John V. Brewer in 1951, continued to live in Nebraska for several years before moving to Appleton, Wisconsin to raise their three children.

In 1977 Kathy moved to Idaho Falls and worked for Roche Moving Company and then Good Samaritan Nursing Home. Following her retirement from Good Samaritan, Kathy spent much of her spare time with her friends, playing bridge and traveling. Kathy was a long time devoted member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Irene Roberts.

She is survived by her twin children, John Herbert Brewer of Los Angeles, CA and Pamela Sue Brewer of Boise, ID, her youngest child Carol Lynne Brewer of Dallas, Texas, and grandchildren, John Robert Brewer and wife Allison Bona of Los Angeles, CA and Rene Woeckener of Boise, ID.

Kathy's children wish to acknowledge all of their mother's friends - you all meant the world to our mother. We will miss her very much.

We ask that her friends gather with us at the Shilo Inn on Saturday, May 17, 2008 between 5:00pm and 7:00pm to celebrate our mother's life. Friends who desire are respectfully invited to honor her memory by making a gift to the P.E.O. Educational Loan Fund, 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, Iowa 50312.
