Kazuko (Hata) Honda, age 93, died on December 3, 2015 in Laurel, Maryland.
She was born in Portland, Oregon on June 25, 1922 to Jentaro Hata (father) and Etsu Omizo Hata (mother).
She married Masayuki Honda in Billings, Montana on June 27, 1944 and was divorced in Idaho Falls, Idaho on January 10, 1966.
She is survived by three children: Dale Honda of West Jordan, UT; Robert (Annette) Honda of North Mankato, MN; Janice (Jay) Savage of Laurel, MD. She is also survived by four grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Much of Kazuko's life was spent on a farm in Idaho with plenty of hard work and challenges. She was very industrious and self-reliant throughout her life. She grew her own food and made her own clothes. She became an excellent seamstress.
This provided her livelihood in later years.She was a very kind person who tried to help others. She often shared her vegetables and cooked nutritious meals for others. She sacrificed much to raise and provide for her children. Kazuko always took pride in growing her garden.
Kazuko is now at peace, free from the trials of mortal life.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 9:30a.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2016, at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
