Kelel N. Thueson, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021. He was under the care of Encompass Hospice.

Kelel was born on August 7, 1937, another boy was born to Paul N. Thueson and Alice Elva Butler. He was their fourth boy and was the fifth child. The oldest brothers were Kyle, Merlin, Garn, and a sister named Lela. Then Kelel, and three more sisters, Evelyn, Nina and Marva. Growing up they lived in Sugar City, Idaho on the farm.

Kelel graduated from Sugar City High School. While attending a stake dance he met Della Cherry. They were married on June 12, 1958 in the Idaho Falls Temple. To their union was born Dennis Kelel in May 1959, and Cheryl in July of 1960. He drove trucks for most of his life for various companies. His favorite job was driving site bus for the INL which he did for 17 years. This was his favorite job because he loved getting the opportunity to visit with people and make lasting friendships. Kelel and Della spent most of their time working hard to create a life for their family.

Kelel and Della built their cabin in Island Park, because grandpa's dreams had to have a place to come true. The family spent many wonderful years at the cabin. Many memories and strong relationships were formed among all of us. These strong bonds are the threads that held the family together as trying times would soon arise.

He is survived by his wife, Della Cherry of Idaho Falls; his daughter Cheryl (Curt) Schiffman of Idaho Falls, and daughter-in-law Liz Kerscher; also 3 grandchildren, 3 great-granddaughters and 3 great-grandsons.

He is preceded in death by his son Dennis Thueson, and grandson Brent Thueson.
