Obituary

Kendall "Kenny" David Davidson, 62, of Idaho Falls, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls following a serious illness. He was born October 14, 1947, in St. Anthony, Idaho to Kendall Grover and LaMarr Davis Davidson. He spent most of his growing up years in Archer and attended area schools and special education classes in Rexburg. He later worked at Deseret Industries where he met the "love of his life" Jeraldine "Jerry" Rae Fielding. After 4 years of courtship they were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 14, 1981 and made their home in Idaho Falls. Here they found joy and happiness together and shared many happy experiences with his family and hers. They would have celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary August 14th. Some things he enjoyed were attending classes and activities at "Options" and associating with friends and workers, bowling, and going on long walks with his wife, Wednesday restaurant hopping, and going on activities with family members. One of the highlights of their lives was a trip to Nauvoo, Illinois, visiting LDS Church historical sites, and attending many shows at Branson, Missouri along with a tour group of friends. Kenny was a lifelong active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints residing in the Idaho Falls 3rd Ward. Kenny's numerous friends will remember his vivacious smile and hearty handshake as Kenny always greeted them by name. He is survived by his wife, Jerry of Idaho Falls; mother, LaMarr Davidson of Archer; 2 brothers, Martin (Maylin) Davidson of Pocatello, Idaho and Brad (Sandy) Davidson of Kimberly, Idaho; sisters-in-law Jacquelyn (Gordon) Harmon of Pocatello, Idaho, and Judy (Jim) Craig, Janice (Bill) Drake all of Idaho Falls; brothers-in-law Jamey (Kim) Fielding of Idaho Falls, and Jon (Saundra) Fielding of Pocatello, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Kendall G. Davidson and Jerry's parents, Melvin and Wilma Fielding. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, 2010, at the Idaho Falls LDS Central Stake Center, 2025 Jennie Lee Dr. Idaho Falls with Bishop Carroll B. Perkes officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Parker Cemetery in Parker, Idaho. Send condolences, or a sympathy card to the family online at www.coltrinmortuary.com
