Obituary

Kendi Gerard Fullmer, 48, of Idaho Falls, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at the home of her daughter in Woods Cross, Utah, due to complications from cancer. She was born March 9, 1963, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Kenneth Gerard and Edna Reese Gerard. She grew up in Iona and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1981. She attended Ricks College. On September 10, 1982, she married Merrill Fullmer in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were blessed with 2 wonderful children. She worked for Maceys, Jackson's Levis, Medical Mart, The Children's World of Learning and school district #93 as a teacher's aid. She also worked at the voting poles during elections. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served as a Relief Society President and Counselor, in the Primary, as Young Women's President and as a camp director. Kendi enjoyed camping, shopping, decorating, spending time with her family, and skiing. She was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and sister. She always put others first. Her personal scripture of life was if you can take delight in little children and be a friend to older folks you know, you are bound to be a happy person always and the lovely woman you were meant to be. She loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She is survived by the following: husband, Merrill Fullmer of Idaho Falls; daughter, Brooke (Eric) Sessions of Woods Cross, Utah; son, Wes Fullmer of Idaho Falls; mother, Edna Gerard of Iona; brothers: Craig (Jan) Gerard, Steve (Linda) Gerard both of Idaho Falls, and Jack (Mindy) Gerard all of Idaho Falls; sisters: Peggy (Bill, deceased) Briggs and Sally (Dave) Louk both of Idaho Falls; and 1 very loved grandson, Bridger Sessions. Kendi was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Gerard. Funeral Services will be held at 11a.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Iona LDS 6th Ward Chapel 1040 N. Crimson Dr. Idaho Falls with Bishop David Adams officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. Idaho Falls, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
