Obituary

Kim Annette Guidry died September 24, 2014 at the age of 47 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was born on January 28, 1967 to Floyd and Virginia Wheeler in Idaho Falls. Kim enjoyed amazing experiences with her family including whitewater rafting trips, traveling to exotic places, skiing, hiking, rock collecting, large family dinners at grandma's, family picnics at Tautphaus Park and more. Kim was a talented gymnast who qualified for multiple state competitions and also for a regional competition in Portland. Kim's love of gymnastics continued into her adult life, as well. Not only could she do round off back handsprings to back tucks until her knee finally stopped that a couple of years ago, but she was also a skilled coach and taught scores of tiny gymnasts who all adored her. Kim loved bringing her children to visit family and friends in Idaho and enjoyed hosting at her home, too. She was a certified scuba diver, traveling around the world to dive. Anyone who knew Kim knew that she loved to have fun. Her wacky sense of humor made everyone laugh. She loved her family and friends and they loved her. "You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life. See that girl, watch that scene, digging the Dancing Queen." ABBA Kim married Kyle Capps in April 1987. They lived in Fort Collins, CO, Bellingham, WA, Kennewick, WA, and Denver, CO during their marriage. Kim married Brian Guidry in February 2007. They lived in the Denver, CO area during their marriage. Kim is survived by her three children: Megan Northway (Logan) of Casper, WY; Evan Capps (Emily) of San Diego, CA; and Gabriella Guidry of Denver, CO; one grandson, Rylan Northway; her mother, Virginia Wheeler, Caldwell, ID; her sister, Kelly Edginton (Eric), Caldwell, ID; her grandmother, Margaret Nixon, Sequim, WA, and her nephews: Taylor, J Cole and Jordan. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Wheeler. A service will be held at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St, Idaho Falls on Tuesday, September 30 at 3:30 pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service.
