Kim McGavin, 68, of Idaho Falls, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Kim was born on June 20, 1957, to Dennis Wilkie and Carolyn Luke Wilkie in Idaho Falls. She grew up in Idaho Falls and graduated from Skyline High School in 1975.

On May 19, 1978, she married Stephen H. McGavin in Idaho Falls. Together, they had two daughters, Lindsay and Brandi, who were Kim's pride and joy.

Kim worked at various jobs, including having her own cleaning business for 15 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a nursery leader and as a Young Women's leader. She loved doing crafts, cooking, camping, and riding ATVs. She also enjoyed traveling and riding on the back of their shared Gold Wing motorcycle.

She was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her husband, kids, and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen McGavin of Idaho Falls, Idaho; her daughters: Lindsay (Jose) Escobar of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Brandi McGavin of Herriman, Utah; grandchildren: Aubrey Escobar of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Shylee McGuire, and Paisley McGuire both of Herriman, Utah; her sister, Debrah Kelly of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and her brothers: Kevin (Debbie) Wilkie, and Kirk (Joy) Wilkie both of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Carolyn Wilkie, and her brother Craig Wilkie.
