Obituary

Kjerstin Marie Cook, 46, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024, after a valiant battle with ALS. Kjerstin was born on September 13, 1977, in Mesa, AZ, to David Seaman and Leslie Alexander. Kjerstin was raised in Orem and West Jordan, UT, with her older brother, Forest, and her younger sister, Tiffany. One of her most cherished childhood experiences was living by her Aunt Kathy, Uncle Tee, and cousins Eric, Erin, and Ian. She graduated from West Jordan High School in 1995.

Later that year, Kjerstin met her husband, Dustin, and they were married on August 16, 1996, in the Salt Lake City Temple. She earned her associate degree from Ricks College and later earned her bachelor's degree from BYU-Idaho. Dustin and Kjerstin made their home in Idaho Falls where they welcomed two rambunctious and energetic boys. She was fiercely devoted to her three boys-Dustin, Dylan, and Dallas. She had a huge heart and touched so many people's lives by quietly serving and loving them. Kjerstin will always be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and uncanny knack for gift-giving.

Once the boys started school, Kjerstin went to work in various positions within School District 93, including Cloverdale Elementary School librarian and Bonneville High School registrar. She later went to work for the INL as an administrative assistant.

Throughout her life, she faithfully served in numerous church callings. She also volunteered with the Cloverdale Elementary PTO and Idaho Falls Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary, serving a year as president of each organization. She enjoyed photography, cake decorating, creating projects of all kinds, and spending time with her family. She was always supportive of Dustin's profession and loved raising her two boys and supporting them in their various activities.

She is survived by her husband, Dustin; sons: Dylan and Dallas; father, David Seaman; mother, Leslie (Steve) Alexander; brother, Forest (Mindy) Seaman; sister, Tiffany (Mike) Stalker; in-laws, David, and Kally Cook; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family.

The family would like to express their thanks to Eden Home Health and Hospice for the loving care and kindness they showed Kjerstin.
