Kyieu Erickson Hilder

Kyieu Quintyn Hunter Erickson Hilder, 16, of Idaho Falls, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018.

Kyieu was born on June 8, 2001, to Arielle Dawn Erickson in Rexburg, Idaho.  Arielle married Troy Clark Hilder, Sr. when Kyieu was 7 years old, who later adopted Kyieu and his sister, Taivini. His dad added Hunter to his name.

As a family they loved the outdoor life and his dad taught Kyieu to become an avid fisherman and hunter. He shot his first deer, a doe, when he was 12 years old, a few more over the next few years and then at 14 he shot his biggest buck and proudly displayed the skull and antlers that his Dad had mounted for him. He was looking forward to getting his first bear.  He enjoyed Boy Scouts and all the scout camps, especially Copper Basin. He also enjoyed Wrestling at Bonneville High School, and really enjoyed welding and auto mechanics that he was learning at Tech Careers High school.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Eastview Ward in Idaho Falls, Idaho.  He was a lively, loving and happy boy with a mischievous grin. He was loved by so many of his scout leaders and school teachers. We will all miss that grin and warm hugs.

Kyieu is survived by his parents: Arielle and Troy Hilder; his brothers: Austin Erickson and Daniel Hilder; his sisters: Azariah Weems, Rebekah Erickson Melton, Mercedes Lucas, Taivini Hilder, and Rebekah Hilder; his niece, Kaizliee Hilder who was like his baby sister; his niece, Abriella Lucas; his grandparents; and too many Aunts, Uncles and cousins to list.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at the Eastview LDS Ward, 2349 Virlow Street, Idaho Falls. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
