July 4, 1958 – August 14, 2019
Kyle Allen Daylong, 61, of Idaho Falls, passed away Wed., Aug. 14, 2019, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Kyle was born on July 4, 1958, to William Lloyd and Lois Joyce Williams Daylong Jr. in Ogden, UT. He grew up in Taylor, Utah and graduated from Weber High School in 1976.
He joined the U.S. Air Force on June 29, 1976. He was honorably discharged on June 27, 1985. While in the Air Force he attended school at the Air Force Tech School where he studied precision measuring equipment specialist.
On July 8, 1977, he married LeeAnn Pace in the Ogden Temple. Together they raised their 6 children.
After the service, he worked at EDO Western in Sandy, UT designing x-ray equipment, tech manuals, and training. When living in Denver, CO he worked for St. Joseph Hospital as the Bio-med Dept. Coordinator.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in various positions including Elders Quorum President, Geneology Specialist, and Sunday School President.
Kyle helped the Red Cross while in Denver and was Red Cross Disaster Certified. He was Boy Scout District Leader (Timberline) for 3 years.
He enjoyed writing and camping with his family. He was devoted to his family and was huggable papa.
He is survived by his wife, LeeAnn Daylong of Idaho Falls, ID; his daughters: Brittney (Chris) Marsh of Denver, CO, Jeanille (Edward) Alvarez of Idaho Falls, ID, and Katherine Daylong of Idaho Falls, ID; his sons: Jared (Natalie) Daylong of Rexburg, ID, Eric (Sarah) Daylong of Lakewood, CO, and Treavor (Jill) Daylong of Farmington, UT;his father, William Daylong; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Lois Daylong, and nephew, Steven Baldwin.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Mon., Aug. 19, 2019, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building at 4775 So. 4875 W., Westhaven, UT. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Clearfield City Cemetery, Clearfield, Utah.
