She was born February 23, 1921, to Joseph Lester Rigby and Harriet Maria Lucas Rigby in Hibbard, Idaho. LaRue always said, "I was born into a special, beautiful family." As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she held numerous leadership positions in the ward and stake Primary, Young Women and Relief Society. She gave compassionate service and was a temple officiator. In the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers she held positions in the county as well as the regional organization. She was a volunteer in the Rigby Museum and the Idaho Falls Distribution Center. LaRue enjoyed tripping around the world, making quilts, gardening, cooking and being with family and friends.
