Anna LaDene Hansen, 86, of Idaho Falls died December 28, 2009, surrounded by her family at Parkwood Meadows in Idaho Falls. She had been under the care of Creekside Hospice. She was born August 28, 1923 in Arco, Idaho, to Harry Ben DeCoria and Anna Andreasen DeCoria. LaDene grew up and attended schools in Arco. She graduated from high school in 1941. She attended Ricks College and Idaho State University where she earned a degree in nursing in 1945. For a short time, she worked at the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. On December 13, 1946, she married Glen W. Hansen in Auburn, Washington, where their two sons were born. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. In 1952, they moved to Blackfoot where LaDene was the Director of Nursing at State Hospital South until 1972. In 1972, they moved to Idaho Falls and she worked at the Health Department until 1985 when she retired. Following her retirement, they moved to Arco and Glen passed away June 10, 1992. On November 9, 1992, she married Glen's cousin, Wendell Hansen. They lived there until 2002, when they moved back to Idaho Falls. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she had held several positions. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping and dancing. LaDene was a very loving, nurturing wife, mother and grandmother and very easy to love. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband, Wendell Hansen of Idaho Falls; grandchildren: Glen (Maci) Hansen Jr; Anna (Lazaro) Ambriz; and Jennifer (Travis) Hall all of Idaho Falls; and Lang Hansen of Arco; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; sons: Bruce and Glen Hansen; and grandsons: Craig and Alain Hansen. The family will visit with friends Sunday evening, January 3, 2009, from 5-7:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls and Monday, January 4, 2009, from 10-11:00 a.m. also at the mortuary. Following the visitation, Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2009, in the Howe Cemetery in Howe, Idaho.
