LaFon Minson Haack, 91, long time Idaho Falls resident, died Thursday, September 8, 2011, at her daughter's home in South Jordan, Utah. She was born June 21, 1920, in Lincoln, Idaho, to Frank Minson and Venitta Gertrude Perrett Minson. She graduated from Idaho Falls High School. The family moved to Ontario, California, and it was there that she met her future husband. On July 18, 1938, she married H. Dorsal Haack. They made their home in Idaho Falls where they raised their family of nine children. LaFon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and she served faithfully in many different callings as a member of the Idaho Falls 4th Ward. LaFon is survived by the following: Daughters: Naoma (Owen) Peterson, Lynette (Deloy) Haws, Patricia (Richard) Casper, JoAnn (Kent) Rapp; Sons: William Dorsal Haack and Robert (Bobby) Dean; 32 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsal, in 1981, and three children: Tommy Paul, JaNeth Haack Tam, and Karen Haack Barney. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2011, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., Idaho Falls, Idaho. The family will visit with friends Sunday, September 11, 2011, from 6-7:00 p.m. at Coltrin Mortuary and Monday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
