Lanny David Baker, 72, of Idaho Falls, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, at his home. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.

Lanny was born on September 24, 1951, in Jeffersonville, Indiana to David A. and Sabra E. Baker. His mom and Jim Burton raised him. He grew up in Indiana before moving to Rocklin, California, and attended Rocklin High School.

On June 6, 1979, he married Kathy Jean Hollar in Reno, Nevada. Kathy passed away on May 15, 2017. To this union, two children were born. Lanny was a painter for 40 years. He loved to play guitar and listen to music.

He was a wonderful person, an amazing papa, and a loving dad and grandpa.

Lanny is survived by his daughter, Sabra Baker of Idaho Falls; grandsons: Daniel Burge of Michigan, Aaron Burge of Idaho Falls, and Sam Miller of Idaho Falls; his granddaughter, Arianna Miller of Idaho Falls; and his dog, Myra.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Kathy.
